WRDV'S PROGRAM BIO
Ted Taylor
The Good Morning Show
Tuesday - 8 AM - 12 PM
Ted Taylor — WRDV's program director — returned to radio in 2013 after a 20-year hiatus. As host of the Tuesday "Good Morning Show" Ted features top hits salutes from selected years once-a-month as well as other specialty shows. A deejay for well over three decades he was a part of the big band/swing format on three Philadelphia-area stations (WIBF FM, WBUX, WNPV). Ted broke in to radio with WIFI FM (92.5 FM) in Philadelphia in 1965 as a sportscaster, talk show host and rock jock. He has met and emceed the performances of many of the legendary figures of the big band era when they appeared locally — Stan Kenton, Lionel Hampton, Lee Castle, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Maynard Ferguson, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Murray McEachern, Charley Ventura, Bob Eberly, Errol Garner, the Buddy DeFranco Glenn Miller Band, Chris Connor and many more. "It's an era when music said something to us all, and it's my privilege to be able to share those great sounds once again with my listeners on the RDV Radio Network."
